Gennady Zyuganov, leader of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation and former principal rival of Vladimir Putin for the Presidency of Russia, considers globalisation and how it may affect the future of the world. Approaching the topic from the perspective of the centuries of Russian and European history, culture and tradition, Zyuganov puts it in the context of the long struggle of the peoples of the world for the right to their own identity and a fulfilling life.

Russia finds herself in the thick of the world’s problems. If she is again to play a role worthy of her, she must find a way to realise her potential, and she must do it soon.

The book will appeal to all readers concerned for the future of mankind, and interested in the direction Russia is likely to take. Students and scholars of Russia will find here an authoritative statement of the position of the CPRF on globalisation and East-West relations.
